🚨 Reports: CL winner returns! Bayern legend takes over two teams

FC Bayern Munich is pushing ahead with its strategic realignment in the youth sector and is bringing a true club legend back to Säbener Straße for a key position.

As reported by 'Sky' and 'Bild', Dante’s return is already a done deal: starting next season, the 42-year-old Brazilian will become the new head coach of the U23 team, succeeding Holger Seitz.

The Brazilian is currently still playing for French top-flight club OGC Nice, but will end his active career in the summer and then move straight into coaching. 

In doing so, the Munich club is relying on a completely new model that underlines the enormous trust placed in the 2013 treble hero. According to the reports, Dante will not only take charge of the U23s, but will also oversee Bayern’s Youth League team at the same time. This dual role is intended to improve mobility within the campus setup and enable even more targeted development of the top talents.

With Dante, the record champions are bringing back not only technical expertise, but also a major figure of identification. As a key pillar of the legendary 2013 treble-winning team and a former fan favorite, he has the necessary experience at the highest level to guide the next generation toward professional football. It is not surprising that the veteran would choose this path, as he had already expressed several times his desire to remain involved in football in a responsible role after retiring from active play.
